Officials confirm death of Japanese diver

Officials in Bali, Indonesia, have confirmed the death of a Japanese diver who went missing on Friday. Rescue workers are continuing the search for another diver.

Indonesian rescue authorities say the body of 59-year- old Ritsuko Miyata was found near Serangan Island on Tuesday afternoon.

Doctors conducted an autopsy in the presence of Japanese consular officials.

The 2 divers were members of a party of 7 Japanese women who went missing on Friday off Lembongan Island, near Bali. 5 of them were rescued on Monday.

Rescue workers are continuing the search for Shoko Takahashi, a diving instructor who lives in Bali.
