China condemns Japan massacre denial

Beijing has reacted furiously to the denial of the Nanjing massacre by a senior manager at Japan's national broadcaster, NHK.

The manager, Naoki Hyakuta, had dismissed as propaganda accounts of the orgy of murder and rape by Japanese troops as they rampaged through China in 1937. Beijing called his remarks a barefaced challenge to international justice.
